ULI Membership is much more than attending a few programs each year. There are dozens of opportunities to increase your involvement and elevate your visibility among real estate professionals. As a member-driven organization, we are always looking to our members to serve on initiative councils, technical assistance panels, serve as speakers and panelists, and expand our reach by spreading the ULI message.

ULI Tampa Bay has a number of committees that further the district council’s program of work. Our committees are composed of ULI members active in the field of land use and real estate and are chaired by dedicated ULI leaders.

Membership Committee

Welcome new members and engage your peers. The Membership Committee strives to improve the quality of the ULI membership experience, improve retention, expand membership, and increase membership diversity. The membership team hosts social events to connect members and works with all other committees to understand and serve the needs of ULI Tampa Bay members.

Sponsorship Committee

Build relationships with industry leaders. The Sponsorship Committee develops and implements the annual sponsorship campaign and builds relationships with ULI Tampa Bay supporters. Annual sponsorships are critical to fund ULI Tampa Bay events, community outreach efforts, initiatives and YLG/WLI scholarships.

Champion a program to facilitate thought leadership. The Program Committee strives to deliver timely, compelling and innovative content, which includes StimULI Breakfasts, Case Studies & Site Tours.

Real Estate Trends Conference Committee

Be a part of Tampa Bay’s signature event. The Trends Committee works on the annual Emerging Trends in Real Estate program, an event that recognizes the national and local trends impacting the land use and development industry.

Communications/Marketing Committee

Help us capture content and spread the word. The Communications Committee elevates ULI’s external visibility by supporting the external communications needs of the organization to achieve overall awareness and understanding of events, issues, and initiatives among members, prospects, the community, and media.

Women’s Leadership Initiative

Raise the visibility of women in ULI and the real estate industry. The Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) works to increase the visibility of women in ULI Tampa Bay, assist with career path advancement, and provide networking opportunities in Tampa Bay region. WLI is comprised of three subcommittees which include Career Advancement, Engagement, and Liaison.

Young Leaders Group

Foster an understanding and connection to the ULI mission. The Young Leaders Group (YLG) provides an opportunity for young professionals to connect to and participate in the ULI mission through active involvement and leadership development opportunities that produce future leaders.

Policy and Practice Committee

Provide expertise and support to nonprofit and public entities. The Policy & Practice committee identifies best practices for addressing land use challenges facing the Tampa Bay region and works with public officials, agencies and non-profits to implement pragmatic solutions. Technical Assistance Panels (TAPs) and national Advisory Service Panels (ASPs) draw from ULI’s seasoned professional membership base to provide impartial and multidisciplinary expert advice.

Resiliency Initiative

Drive the conversation on the importance of building resilient cities. A working group for ULI members to take on projects and contribute to the field of climate resiliency. Its mission is to educate and motivate the Tampa Bay-area real estate community (both private and public sector) on climate change and sea level rise and encourage best practice with respect to development.

ULI Florida Transportation representative

Serves as ULI Florida’s representative on Florida DOT’s policy committee.
