WORKSHOP: “Encore Entrepreneurs & the Built Environment”
Please join us for a stimulating conversation to discuss the impact of the 55+ population’s intentions in retirement and the role of the built environment. ULI Tampa Bay has assembled a team of experts across the 55+ spectrum to guide an interactive conversation with workshop attendees on the trends we are seeing, potential responses, and future opportunities throughout the state. Within the workshop, we will be sharing the results of consumer research conducted of over 1,000 adults 55+ throughout the state of Florida, and their sentiments about retirement.
The workshop will be held March 9, 2017 from 1 to 4 p.m at the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council (4000 Gateway Centre Blvd.; Suite 100, Pinellas Park, Florida 33782). It will be the first in a series of five workshops held throughout the state, conducted as part of an Urban Innovation Grant received through ULI. Insights and ideas shared within the workshop will be of interest to investors, healthcare providers, urban planners and financial planners as to future trends to anticipate.
Goals of the Workshop Include:
• Identifying challenges and opportunities for the 55+ population to pursue encore careers
• Explore the built environment and how it might further enhance entrepreneurial activity in this population segment
• Size the market demand and opportunity
• Create a white paper for distribution, which includes a summary of the consumer research and workshop results
While there is no cost to attend the workshop, we do require an rsvp for space and logistical purposes. PLEASE REGISTER ONLINE BELOW.
