About ULI Tampa Bay Trends Conference

The annual ULI Tampa Bay Trends Conference connects the top real estate professionals from throughout the Tampa Bay area – developers, attorneys, engineers, architects, brokers, land use planners, and more, from both the private and public sector.

From keynote addresses to networking opportunities, the Trends Conference focuses on changing markets, growing trends, new opportunities, and features insights from leading industry professionals. Findings from the Emerging Trends in Real Estate® Report in partnership with PwC will also be incorporated into this conference. Hosted and produced by ULI Tampa Bay and the Trends Committee, the annual Trends Conference brings together more than 300 ULI members and non-members from across the region who are interested in the progress and prosperity of our communities and our industry.

Tampa/St. Petersburg are Ranked #4

The most improved ranking amongst Florida’s major metro areas. An attractive business climate, no state income tax, and local economic growth make Tampa popular with workers, retirees and real estate returns. Job growth is forecast at 2.3 times the nation’s five-year forecast setting the stage for continued demand for Tampa real estate.

“Though Tampa-St. Petersburg might fly under the radar compared to its neighbors—the colorful Miami and heavily touristed Orlando—the metro area is no slouch amid Florida’s formidable peers. Tampa’s sunny climate, year-round sports, no state income tax, and booming economy have created a longtime draw for workers and retirees alike, leading Money magazine to name Tampa the ninth best place to live in the United States in 2022. The metro area has proven a good place for real estate investment capital to live as well, with 10-year annualized total returns of 8.6 percent in NCREIF’s NPI.
