Art in Place is a global cohort of ULI National and District Councils working to connect artists, developers, and community voices to drive more inclusive and participatory real estate outcomes. ULI Tampa Bay was selected through a highly competitive process to participate in this next step in ULI’s ongoing commitment to Creative Placemaking. The second event for ULI Tampa Bay's Art in Place will take place in St. Petersburg on February 22 at Savant on Second, bringing leaders in real estate development and the arts together to foster successful collaborations.

Terry Marks is the CEO of the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance. Terry will speak about the work of the Alliance, including “Murals in Mind” which supports and uplifts community mental health, as well as the overall question of “What is Public Art?” and why members of the real estate development community should make it a priority.

Jon Wittner is the Founding Director of KW Commercial Tampa Bay. He and KW Commercial have been key players in the new residential and retail project Reflection on the shores of Mirror Lake. The incorporation of public art in this space and others will be Jon’s topic.

Also from the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance, Jenée Priebe is the Director of the SHINE Mural Festival, which has created nearly 170 murals in St. Petersburg since 2015. Cooperation between the Alliance, City and County leaders, and real estate professionals is essential to this program’s success, Jenee will discuss the challenges and opportunities.
