Shining Bright in the Sunshine City: St. Petersburg Industry Update
As one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities, St. Pete offers abundant opportunities that attract and retain businesses, investors, residents, and talent. From startups to Fortune 500s, St. Pete supports businesses small and large with systems and structures to help them launch, sustain, and thrive. Downtown development is booming and housing is expanding as more and more people are drawn to this area for the lifestyle and room to grow it provides. More than 265,000 people make their home here, living across 100+ distinct neighborhoods throughout the city and contributing to a regional workforce of over 1.4 million.

No one knows that better than Larry Feldman, the president and CEO of Feldman Equities in St. Pete since 1990. Mr. Feldman has been directly responsible for the management, development, or acquisition of over 11 million square feet of real estate with an aggregate value of over $3 billion dollars during a career spanning over 30 years in the commercial real estate business. Mr. Feldman’s primary focus over his career has been on the acquisition and redevelopment of turnaround real estate.

Joining Mr. Feldman are Jason Mathis and Casey Ellison. Jason is CEO of the St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership. The Partnership is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to thoughtful growth and urban redevelopment with a mission to champion community prosperity through purposeful, transformative projects. Casey is the CEO of Ellison Companies, a leading construction management firm in Tampa Bay, and has over 20 years of experience in the construction and development industries. He was an integral part of the team that brought Hotel Haya to Ybor City and has been part of many of Tampa Bay's most impactful projects, including Oxford Exchange, Stovall House, and The Nolen. Ellison Companies will head up the Autograph Collection hotel that will be part of Orange Station in downtown St. Pete’s EDGE District.

The moderator for this event will be Anne Pollack. Anne Pollack is a partner with Fletcher Fischer Pollack, P.L., a boutique, women-owned law firm in St. Petersburg, Florida. Over the past 20 years she has leveraged her knowledge to become a recognized expert in acquiring development approvals and land use entitlements for real estate projects of all types and sizes across Florida, and in representing both private and governmental clients in connection with the sale, acquisition and development of real estate.
